Common side effects from glyburide use:
bloating
heartburn
nausea
Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:
headache
nasal congestion
runny nose
stomach pain
cough
diarrhea
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
skin rash or hives
itching or redness
exaggerated sunburn
yellowing of the skin or eyes
light-colored stools
dark or clay-colored urine
unusual bleeding or bruising
fever
sore throat
Call your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar):
extreme thirst
frequent urination
extreme hunger
weakness
blurred vision
Eat or drink a food or beverage with sugar in it, such as hard candy or fruit juice, and call your doctor immediately if you begin to suffer any of the symptoms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) listed below:
shakiness
dizziness or lightheadedness
sweating
confusion
nervousness or irritability
sudden changes in behavior or mood
headache
numbness or tingling around the mouth
weakness
pale skin
sudden hunger
clumsy or jerky movements
seizures
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
